In cold climates, a heater is highly recommended. You can keep the tank inside the house or in the garage, wherever the missus will allow.

After preparing the pond or the tank, you need to get fingerlings.

You can choose to make your own breeders, but that would be an entirely new and different conversation.

But as an avid tilapia eater, let me just say that the smaller ones are tastier than the bigger ones.

The tilapias need feeding twice a day.

It is recommended that water lily or swamp cabbage be planted to provide shade to the fishes during the hot season.

Do not be tempted to add mudfish into your tilapia farm, otherwise it will be decimated by these predators.
